Anne Smidt has worked in encaustics (warm beeswax, resin, pigments) since 2006. Initially inspired by personal and global issues, Anne's artwork now includes three-dimensional work, encaustic monoprints and encaustic bookmaking. She regularly participates in workshops, conferences and retreats, teaches privately, and does extensive volunteer work. In 2009 Anne co-developed an encaustic collaboration called HARMONY, involving 32 artists from throughout the United States. Upon sale, HARMONY's profits were donated to charity.
