Mariana Shawver’s colorful, eclectic artwork includes abstract, geometric, and primitive styles, incorporating recycled materials such as cardboard tubing, glass and mirror shards, bits of metal, fabric, and other ephemera. Using both acrylics and watercolor, she paints on fabric interfacing, then molds it into soft shapes for her collages. She has recently added hand-painted, collaged glassware to her repertoire.
