As a designer, my focus on handmade and opulent textiles, apparel and accessories design has the additional facet of inviting others to participate in expressing their personal creativity by wearing these pieces. Ages old traditions of adorning our bodies with art reflect an implicit part of human communication. The way I see it, each of us can choose to consciously live our lives as evolving works of art. Each day we get dressed, we are choosing how we “show up” in the world and inadvertently convey how we feel about ourselves by way of this visual language. Although the line between fashion and art is often blurred, my intention is to create pieces of lasting beauty which transcend trends and integrate into a unique personal statement. My inspiration is driven by a desire to encourage women of all ages to celebrate themselves in fine clothing and accessories that are not only comfortable, flattering, and practical, but artfully elegant and joyful.
